Biography

Gerbert Schoonman was appointed as member of our Board of Directors in April 2020. Mr. Schoonman joined Hess in 2011 and has 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Prior to his appointment to his current role as Senior Vice President, Global Production on January 1, 2020, Mr. Schoonman served in various operational leadership roles at Hess, including as Vice President, Production – Asia Pacific, from January 2011 through August 2012; Vice President, Onshore – Bakken from September 2012 through December 2016; and Vice President, Offshore from January 2017 to December 2019. Prior to joining Hess, he spent 20 years with Shell where he served in operational and leadership roles of increasing responsibility.
