Biography

Michael Bast is Vice President, Midstream Operations for Hess Midstream LP (NYSE: HESM).

As the Vice President of Midstream Operations, Mr. Bast is responsible for ensuring coordination between the Midstream and Upstream business segments, driving efforts to assess and select related operational and business strategies, and staffing and resourcing.

Prior to this role, Mr. Bast held several senior roles across Hess Corporation including Maintenance, Reliability & Integrity Senior Manager; Operations Manager, North Dakota; Operations Manager, Permian Area; Global Production Excellence Manager; Production Engineering Team Lead, Americas; Production Superintendent, Gulf of Mexico and Senior Operations/Production Engineer, Deepwater Gulf of Mexico.

Prior to joining Hess, Mr. Bast held engineering roles at Newfield Exploration Company and Chevron with assignments in Nigeria, Houston, and Louisiana.

Mr. Bast holds a bachelor’s degree in Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering from Pennsylvania State University.
